Quincy's Resume

Business relationships

Through DewQ Finance worked as their interim CFO and Technology Specialist for 9 months. Then transitioned to the acting VP of Technology for all things related to ZOHO CRM Development, Customer Journey, Web Apps, Automated Model Building, and still maintained a lot of the finance and other strategic pieces of the business.

I currently work at Ancestry.com full time as a Finance Manager in DNA Marketing. I assist with the entire topline business forecast for DNA units sold as well as any marketing behind it. I also oversee the entire brand marketing effort for all of Ancestry from a financial forecasting/budget standpoint including TV, streaming, television shows, and more.

My time at Overstock was focused on building out special projects and new initiatives. I focused on the Supplier Oasis fulfillment platform and built out the financial business structure including the P&L, customer pricing, billing process, inventory tracking, and a lot of growth ad hoc modeling.

At Melaleuca I worked within just about every area of the US side of the business creating financial analysis and helping with leadership decision making. I worked in marketing, sales, research and development, data, human resources, and even assisted in optimizing many of the small operations including the onsite restaurant, the onsite gym, and event planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have two options for working together. The first is on a retainer where I will block a portion of my days specifically for your business. While this does cost more overall, you get dedicated support and my eyes on everything. I still use members of my team for specific tasks, but I stay hands on with everything. The second is through DeFinance where you will pay by project or for a small retainer of refillable hours on a regular schedule. I have dedicated managers that are highly skilled that I work with, and they will manage your needs with my oversight and assign the right people to get you the solutions you need. This gives you fast response times because the team is readily available, and helps with the overall cost.

Reach out to me on LinkedIn! I am open to discussing opportunities as they arise. I have consulted with some amazing large corporate finance teams and small finance teams. I can be retained as an overall manager for your business, or jump into your team and assist with specific needs. I look forward to chatting with you about your specific desired outcomes.

As a consultant, I make it my mission to have my camera on as often as possible. With me, you don't get a black screen when conferencing. Naturally I get asked about my background art on every new call I take. With the work from home culture, I wanted something that was bold and featured something I love. My wife had this created for me as a birthday gift. I put it front and center because most "finance people" are known to be a bit dull. This picture is a symbol of the fact that I am going to break the norm, challenge the status quo, and zig sometimes when others are zagging. I work hard and create amazing results, but they are laced with an amount of energy and creativity that isn't always found in mainstream financial analytics. I also feature a couple of other pieces from projects that I have worked on in the past.

I do. I have ONE very important requirement. Each contract I take on must do their best to recognize humanity in business. This doesn't mean I don't want you to expect the best from me and my team. We want to give you the world and I spend countless extra hours above certain contracts to deliver that greatness. However, I do expect that as humans we acknowledge each other, the lives we live, and hold a respect for each other through the business relationship. What I do is fun for me. I build complex models, work on tech stacks, and deliver the greatest tools! I truly love and enjoy my work. When it isn't fun anymore because the respect disappears, then it becomes actual WORK. I am ready to build your empire with you with respect for each other.

My University studies were all centered around Finance and Economics. I love the financial field and spent just over 10 years in corporate financial analytics/manager roles. I have always been a tech enthusiast. Starting when I was super young I was self taught in Web Development and Computer Structure and Builds. I grew to love App Design, Web App Buildouts, and Cryptocurrency. Over the years I have hired and managed teams to build projects while working in Finance. I now successfully manage teams that build full development Python, Node.JS, and React builds for FinTech, Sales, and have gotten deep into CRM management and custom builds in Deluge for ZOHO. I truly love both Finance and Tech and have chosen not to limit my offering to just one skillset at this time. You tell me what you want, I can find a way to do it using Finance and/or Technology.

Yeah, I know you are dying to know... Overall #1 pick - Google Sheets. I know Excel has the power and extra functions behind it, and I do NEED to use it from time to time. However, with the flexibility of Google Sheets and overlaying Apps Script, I can do just about anything. I keep clients up to date in real time, version control is built in, and sharing and spreading the data is much easier.

Sure! We will need to coordinate the time and the reason around other things I may have on my schedule, but I have travelled for multiple clients, and I love meeting and working with people in person also! I do have a couple of rules: I will not travel more than once per quarter and generally it needs to take 5 days or less per trip.
